In 2012, Austria’s Lungau region was officially made a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. At these times of year, the area enjoys warm days (20 degrees plus) and lovely cool nights. It’s a great time for hiking and, with the snow continuing to melt while the weather stays warm, there’s some great water rafting. Our off-season prices offer amazing value and you can cycle, mountain bike, horse ride and hike in complete isolation from crowds. For the golfers among you, if you fancy a break from trekking, Lungau has some amazing golf courses, which are generally so quiet you don’t need to book a tee time.
