For those of you who are thinking about booking a ski holiday in Austria in March or April, make sure you check the snow conditions but here in Lungau we are snow sure most years.
As you can see from our Austrian winter ski holiday guide, Lungau is a great place to ski or learn to ski. Our local ski school here employs native English speakers as well as Austrians. What’s more we are situated right in the heart of the five ski areas: a 2-minute walk from the ski bus stop, a 5-minute walk from the Speiereck gondola lift, and a ten-minute walk into the bars and restaurants of St Michael. It’s ideal for exploring Austria’s nature and culture – both on the piste and off, which is one reason why many of our guests return to us for their winter holidays year after year.
If you want rowdy Euro-pop bars and apres ski on the mountain, we’ll probably advise you to head for Ischgl or St Anton. But if you want decent snow, head to Southern Austrian Alps for a ski and snowboard holiday!
Here in Lungau we tend to have lovely long snow and ski seasons due to our location so just after you check snow conditions in Austria, search your preferred dates or give our team a call (they’re English and German-fluent) to treat yourself to some mid or end-of-season skiing here in Austria’s Salzburg and Lungau region. You’ll love our authentic Austrian chalets!
Lots of love,
